Close up photographs of the rocks along the shoreline on Mayne Island, BC inspired this painting. I wanted it to look like two rock faces were pressing together and extruding the metal ore between them so I actually made a sculpture on the canvas. Painted around the sides, it needs no framing. Finish is glossy. Currently being exhibited at the Grey Area Gallery, Chilliwack.
